Decentralised combined heat and power

Based on the principle of combined heat and power, the micro CHP unit utilises the waste heat produced during power generation directly on site. Thus, the energy is utilised twice which results in a significantly higher efficiency than with the conventional energy supply realised via centralised large power plants and the heating appliance installed at home.

As a result, CO2 emissions are reduced by up to 50% and fuel requirements are simultaneously reduced by a third. It is for this reason, that this small, heat and power producing appliance is one of the most efficient, energy saving and environmentally friendly devices on the market.

ecopower micro CHP

The ecopower micro CHP especially stands out for its patented output modulation. Thanks to this feature, the small power plant always produces exactly the amount of energy which is actually needed. This results in significantly longer operating periods especially in smaller buildings.

ecopower micro CHP can be used in both small and large dwellings, and commercially, and for areas which are not on the grid, the ecoisland isolated application can provide completely independent electricity and heating.

PowerPlus Technologies GmbH

In 2004 PowerPlus Technologies GmbH became a subsidiary company of Vaillant – one of the biggest heating technology manufacturers in the world. With the acquisition of the ecopower Micro Combined Heat and Power (MicroCHP) appliance, the company quickly established itself as a leader in technology in the 5 kW electrical performance segment for decentralised energy supply.
